Lighting modernization: Gemini Park Shopping Centre

Luxiona had a pleasure to complete a lighting modernization project at the Gemini Park shopping center in Bielsko-Biała, marking a significant stride towards ecological sustainability and energy efficiency.

 

The modernisation began with the preparation of a detailed project, including calculations, offering two options for consideration: a one-to-one lighting replacement scheme and an optimised solution with a cost comparison. We also carried out a site visit to verify the design and provided samples for measurement, ensuring the precision of the calculations and the best results of the retrofit.

The outcome of the modernisation is impressive: we replaced 1010 luminaires, leading to a significant threefold reduction in energy consumption. This achievement was made possible by the use of energy-efficient solutions with efficient LED sources, including X-Line Slim in recessed and surface-mounted versions in the walkways and external entrances, as well as luminaires from the Beryl New LED O and Aruna Slim Surface LED families used in corridors, toilets, car park entrances and stairwells.

The luminaires, specially adjusted to the project and made to measure, greatly enhanced the installation, eliminating the need for additional construction work and optimising the project schedule and costs. The experience of the LUXIONA team also ensured that the installation procedures were adapted to the requirements of the building and meticulously supervised.

The modernisation measures culminated in the shopping centre obtaining white certificates, confirming the facility's increased energy efficiency. LUXIONA's experts provided invaluable support in carrying out the certification process and energy efficiency audit, ensuring a quick result and the lowest possible cost for obtaining the certificate.
