Hotel Pestana CR7, a new, more efficient way of life

The new Hotel of the Pestana Hotel Group with the exclusive collaboration of Cristiano Ronaldo was based on a magnificent building designed in 1920 by the Navarrese architect José Yárnoz Larraga.  

It has been completely refurbished to provide the new hotel with all the comforts while maintaining a contemporary style reminiscent of Madrid's golden age.  

For the Ruiz Barbarin architects studio, its renovation has been a great challenge given its size and the quality of the spaces to be implemented. But the real challenge was to achieve energy savings, which was a determining factor for both the hotelier and the owner of the building.  

And overcoming this challenge has been rewarded with the RETHINK award, honorary recognition for the best project in sustainability, and hotel refurbishment in Spain in 2020.
