LUXIONA beleuchtet den preisgekrönten Lublin Hauptbahnhof

We are proud to have contributed to one of the most celebrated infrastructure projects in recent years – the Lublin Metropolitan Station, a true milestone in contemporary transport architecture.

Designed by the Warsaw-based architectural studio Tremend, with the lighting concept developed by the expert team at QLAB, and executed under the direction of general contractor Budimex, this visionary project has gained international recognition. In 2024, it received the prestigious World Architecture Festival Award in the Transport category – often referred to as the “Architectural Oscars” – placing it among the most recognised public developments worldwide.

With its bold architectural vision and strong focus on sustainability, the station stands out for its iconic chalice-shaped white columns, its intelligent “building within a building” structure, and numerous ecological solutions, including photovoltaic panels, heat-retaining walls, and a greywater recycling system. It is a benchmark in combining aesthetics, environmental responsibility, and modern urban function.

LUXIONA had the honour of providing lighting solutions for both the interior of the main pavilion and the exterior platforms. Our carefully selected, energy-efficient LED luminaires – including Artshape Round, X-Line, Luxcan R, Numancia Pro, Roller, Kubik IN, X-Wall K9 and models from the Beryl family – were chosen to harmonise with the architectural concept while enhancing comfort and functionality with high-performance, sustainable lighting.

We are honoured to be part of this landmark project and proud to contribute to an achievement that continues to earn global acclaim.
